Anything listed here can be adjusted or upgraded based on your operational scale.

3. How Resource Metering Works
What Counts Toward the 3,000 DM Limit?
- Outbound Automated Messages: Every direct message dispatched by an AutoDM automation (Comment-to-DM, Story Reply, Inbound DM response, or Visual Flow step) counts as 1 message toward your monthly limit.
- What is NOT Counted:
- Public comment replies posted on your posts or reels do not consume your DM allowance.
- Manual messages sent by you from the native Instagram mobile app or Meta Business Suite do not count.
- Inbound messages received from users do not count.
- Blocked or failed messages (e.g., if a user has deleted their account or disabled DMs) are not deducted from your balance.
What Happens When You Reach the Monthly Limit?
If you are on the Free Forever plan and reach 3,000 sent DMs within a monthly cycle:
- Graceful Auto-Pause: AutoDM automatically pauses outgoing DMs to prevent unexpected failures or account issues.
- Dashboard Notification: An alert banner in your dashboard notifies you that your monthly allocation has been fulfilled.
- No Account Penalty: Webhook events from Meta remain safely logged, and your Instagram account is never flagged or impacted.
- Resolution Options: You can instantly upgrade to Creator Pro for unlimited volume, or simply wait for your monthly anniversary date when the 3,000 DM allowance refreshes.
4. Payment Methods & Billing Options
AutoDM provides flexible payment choices to suit different regional and banking preferences:
One-Time Pass (Zero Recurring Commitment)
- Available for both 30-day and 365-day access.
- Pay once via UPI, debit card, or net banking.
- No auto-debit mandate, no recurring card deduction, and no unexpected renewal charges. When the pass expires, your account gracefully returns to the Free Forever tier without losing any created automations or templates.
Recurring Auto-Debit Subscription
- Automatically renews every month or year for uninterrupted service.
- Supported via credit cards, debit cards, and UPI AutoPay (through Razorpay in India and Stripe globally).
- 1-Click Cancellation: You can cancel recurring billing at any time directly in Settings > Billing. Upon cancellation, you retain full Creator Pro access until the end of your prepaid period.
5. Frequently Asked Billing Questions
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade from Free Forever to Creator Pro at any point. Your new limits (unlimited DMs, 50 automations, 50 short links, and 3 protected reels) activate immediately upon successful payment.
What happens to my automations if I downgrade?
If your Creator Pro plan ends and you revert to Free Forever, all your automations, templates, and short links remain completely intact in your account. If you have more than 2 automations enabled, simply toggle off the extra automations so that at most 2 remain active.
Where can I review receipts and invoices?
Invoices with complete tax breakdowns are automatically emailed to your registered billing address upon every successful payment. You can also view and download past receipts under Settings > Billing History.
